Beginning September 5, 2011, I'll be taking a photo a day for an entire year, in hopes of honing my photography skills and broadening my creativity. If I'm away from home I may not be able to actually post every day, but I will definitely take a photo daily and post as soon as I can. Feedback and constructive criticism are always appreciated. Be forewarned: most of these pictures will probably be of my cats or food... that's just how I roll.

Day 276 - Goleta Pier
Tonight, after a yummy dinner and the season finale of Game of Thrones, Brian and I went out to Goleta Pier to take our photo. Initially we'd hoped to get a shot of the moon over the water, but the moon was nowhere to be seen. So instead we decided to simply photograph the lights of the pier reflecting in the water. It was a bit too dark by the time I got the tripod, and the photo is grainier than I'd expected, but it's still a fun shot.

Photos of lights on dark water are tough. I looks like there are lights under the pier or on the other side of the pier that are shining on the water.
ReplyDeleteWould Photoshopping in a gibbous moon be considered cheating?
Tried viewing again with magnification.... much better.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in this one
