Today I decided to take a super closeup shot of the inner petals of a rose in my backyard. I'd like to pretend that the blurriness is a deliberate attempt at "soft focus" (emphasizing the delicate nature of the flower blahblahblah), but it's not—I just could not get the camera to focus.
Beginning September 5, 2011, I'll be taking a photo a day for an entire year, in hopes of honing my photography skills and broadening my creativity. If I'm away from home I may not be able to actually post every day, but I will definitely take a photo daily and post as soon as I can. Feedback and constructive criticism are always appreciated. Be forewarned: most of these pictures will probably be of my cats or food... that's just how I roll.

Day 239 - Heart of the Rose
Today I decided to take a super closeup shot of the inner petals of a rose in my backyard. I'd like to pretend that the blurriness is a deliberate attempt at "soft focus" (emphasizing the delicate nature of the flower blahblahblah), but it's not—I just could not get the camera to focus.

I really like this one, good job! It's so crazy hard to focus the camera when using the close-up filters. Uhg.
