Beginning September 5, 2011, I'll be taking a photo a day for an entire year, in hopes of honing my photography skills and broadening my creativity. If I'm away from home I may not be able to actually post every day, but I will definitely take a photo daily and post as soon as I can. Feedback and constructive criticism are always appreciated. Be forewarned: most of these pictures will probably be of my cats or food... that's just how I roll.

Day 63 - In Which There is Gorgeous Lighting
Because we didn't get good shots of the butterflies yesterday, Brian suggested going to his work, where he claimed the butterflies were hanging out more at eye level (just like he claimed there would be no mosquitoes when we went to go take pictures of the oil rig a few weeks ago). Needless to say, the butterflies were not hanging out at eye level. But all was not lost; we walked around his work and took pictures of plants and roses. Even though these shots could have come out a little sharper, the lighting was absolutely beautiful. Also, the roses smelled amazing (I didn't sniff the leaf, sorry).

Very, very nice! See, I told you that imperfect red rose would make a great composition.
